The Emergency First Aid at Work for Drivers Level 3 (VTQ) course is a Leo Medical - ProTrainings CPD certified qualification that meets the guidelines set out by the HSE in October 2017. It also meets the requirements of the First Aid at Work regulations 1981 and subsequent 2017 changes.
The course is designed to fully meet the UK and European Resuscitation Council Guidelines 2021 and the JAUPT requirements for CPC if run through an approved JAUPT center. The course must be at least 7 contact hours and run over a minimum of 1 day, with the certificate being valid for 3 years.
Renewal requires attending another EFAW 7-hour course. Blended training, including computer-based training, is allowed for all workplace first aid courses since May 2016.
The EFAW course offered by Leo Medical - ProTrainings meets all the requirements of the HSE and Awarding Organizations. The qualification is accepted in England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland, and many other countries. The minimum age requirement for students is 14 years old. The HSE strongly recommends that all first aiders complete an annual refresher course, which can be fulfilled by Leo Medical - ProTrainings' online course. The content of the course is certified as conforming to universally accepted Continuous Professional Development (CPD) guidelines and comes with a Certified CPD Statement, Leo Medical - ProTrainings Certificate, and Evidence Based Learning statement for online courses.
